Background

My native languages are French & German. Years of study and work in the UK and USA made it possible for me to reach a native ability in English.
I have a Master’s degree in German Studies, a postgraduate degree in Intercultural Communication and a PhD in Comparative Literature.

I have teaching experience in France, Germany, the UK and the USA since 1997:

My teaching philosophy

I think it’s very important to motivate the student by offering a context. Languages are related to cultures.

This obvious fact is too often neglected in language courses.

Language courses should always  involve the student in learning activities

and address very precisely the nature of a student’s difficulties in order to overcome them effectively.

It is essential to work with the student,

because a lasting success depends on a teacher’s competence not only to transmit knowledge but also enthousiasm.
